Shibuya's Halloween policy shifted in 2025 to "禁止だよ!迷惑ハロウィーン" (nuisance Halloween is prohibited). A year-round roadside drinking ban (18:00–05:00) is enforced since October 2024, with 125 security guards and ~90 ward staff on Oct 31.

The Harajuku Omotesando Genki-sai Super Yosakoi is one of Tokyo's biggest yosakoi dance festivals. Teams from across Japan converge on Harajuku and Omotesando for two days of high-energy naruko-clapper dance performances that close the road between Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park. Rain or shine. Traffic restrictions are in place on Aug 30 from 11:00 to around 16:30.

By day it is a safe play park for children; by night it shifts to "TWILIGHT KAWAII," a fantastical experience adults can also enjoy.

KAWAII Yoichi vol.1 is the first-ever KAWAII night market, transforming the Harakado rooftop into a Harajuku-style summer festival after dark. Produced with the KAWAII LAB. character brand KAWAII FRIENDS, it blends Japanese festival culture with Harajuku cute culture through lanterns, illuminations, a KAWAII-en styled carnival (Kawarabu Ennichi), food, drinks, and limited goods. Day session is free; night session is ticketed and opens after an 18:30-19:00 changeover.

SHIBUYA SUMMER PARK 2026 is a three-day outdoor festival in Yoyogi Park that fuses music, dance, food and art under the banner of a new "Shibuya summer." The headline program is Shibuhara Fes, a dance and vocal culture event jointly produced by BUZZ PRODUCTIONS, NEWAGE and Alpha Stage, with a paid main stage and a free-to-watch sub stage. The free-roaming field area hosts the Kami-uma Fes (Godly Delicious Festival) food truck village, and the new PARK STAGE adds free music, idol and dance acts.
