From July 31 to August 2, 2026, Yoyogi Park becomes the center of Tokyo's summer culture as SHIBUYA SUMMER PARK 2026 — better known as Shibuhara Fes — takes over the Event Square for three days of dance, vocal, music, food and art. Co-produced by BUZZ PRODUCTIONS, NEWAGE and Alpha Stage, it is the kind of festival that drew a cumulative 60,000 people in 2023, and this summer it returns with a brand-new free PARK STAGE on top of the existing main stage and field area.
What makes SSP worth the trip is its layered structure: you do not have to buy a ticket to enjoy it. The free-roaming field area is open to everyone and hosts the Kami-uma Fes (Godly Delicious Festival) food-truck village, where food trucks from across Japan serve everything from gyoza and kebabs to lemon-shio soda and shaved ice. The new PARK STAGE — added for 2026 — programs music, idol and dance acts that anyone can watch for free, so you can drop in for an hour and still get the full festival atmosphere.
Tickets: paid main stage vs free field
The paid Shibuhara Fes main stage is where the headline dance and vocal line-up plays. Seating is split into S seats at ¥8,800 and A seats at ¥5,500, plus a ¥700 drink ticket. Day 1 (Fri Jul 31) runs 14:00–21:00, while Day 2 (Sat Aug 1) and Day 3 (Sun Aug 2) run 12:00–21:00 — note the main stage closes at 20:00, with the field running an extra hour to 21:00. Tickets and the daily line-up are announced on the official site and on the official X account @shibuharafes_; past performers include BUZZ PRODUCTIONS acts like ArK Dance Company, EMILY BOX and AJITO DANCE COMPANY, and vocal units such as @onefive, Maison de Queen and THE BEAT GARDEN.
How to survive Tokyo's August heat
Yoyogi Park in early August is no joke — the festival organizers know it. SSP runs free heat-stroke countermeasures across both the paid and free areas: free salt tablets at the information booth, free water stations for refillable bottles, and mist fans in the field. There is also a shaded tent eating area and a paid lounge for those who want to escape the sun between sets. Bring a hat, a bottle and a hand towel — and treat the water station as your home base.
Getting there (and which exit to use)
The closest station is Yoyogi-Koen on the Chiyoda Line — a 7-minute walk that avoids the Shibuya Station scrum. Yoyogi-Hachiman on the Odakyu Line is 10 minutes away, and Harajuku on the JR Yamanote Line is also 10 minutes. Shibuya Station is 15 minutes on foot — fine if you want to combine the festival with a Shibuya dinner, but for a direct shot at the venue the Yoyogi-Koen route is the winner.
Three ways to do SSP in one day
The free sampler: Walk in through the field area, graze the Kami-uma Fes trucks, watch a PARK STAGE set, leave. Costs: only what you eat and drink.
The dance fan: Buy an A seat for the main stage, arrive at noon, stay through the 20:00 closer, then eat dinner in the field while the music plays out.
The full weekend: S seat all three days, with breaks in the shaded lounge — this is how the die-hard BUZZ PRODUCTIONS fanbase does it, and it is why the event pulled 60,000 people in 2023.
