If you are searching for サーティワン 渋谷 (Baskin-Robbins, or "31 Ice Cream," in Shibuya), August 2026 is one of the brand's biggest summer months in years. Three things are running simultaneously at the Shibuya stores, and at least two of them end on August 31, so the timing matters.
The USJ trip campaign — ends August 31
The headline promotion is the Universal Studios Japan present campaign, running through August 31, 2026 (Mon). Buy ice cream at any Baskin-Robbins Japan store (including all three Shibuya-area shops) and you can enter to win a trip to USJ. It is a national campaign, so you do not have to be in Shibuya to win — but the Shibuya stores are some of the easiest to reach from central Tokyo, and the Shibuya Sakura Stage branch tends to be the least crowded of the three if you want to skip lines.
The Animal Crossing flavor — new for July
Released July 1, 2026, the new flavor "Animal Crossing Summer Island Feast Ice Cream" (どうぶつの森 夏島の楽しい食事 アイス) is the brand's tie-in with the Animal Crossing franchise for the summer season. It joined the permanent lineup alongside the limited-time "The Crush Soda" flavor (launched June 23), which leans into the fizzy, sherbet-crush texture that Japanese summer ice cream fans love. Minion Palette 4 cake — for parties
For families, the new "Minion Palette 4" ice cream cake (released July 15) is the obvious summer-birthday pick. It is part of the brand's Palette series — a flat, multi-flavor cake designed for sharing — with a Minion design on top. The wider KAWAII-aimed line also includes the limited-quantity Animal Crossing Ice Cream Cake (with animal picks you can decorate), released July 1 alongside the flavor.
Where to find 31 in Shibuya
There are three Baskin-Robbins stores in the immediate Shibuya area, all within walking distance of Shibuya Station: the main Shibuya Store (Udagawacho 26-2, 11:00–21:00), the Shibuya Mark City Store (East 4F), and the Shibuya Sakura Stage Store (SHIBUYA side 1F) — the newest and typically the least busy. If you are coming from Harajuku, the Aoyama Store (Jingumae 5-52-2, B1F) is also a short walk. All five stores accept the 31 Mobile Order for in-store pickup, which is the fastest way to skip a line in August.
