LONG! LONGER!! LONGEST!!! is a theatrical snack stall on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, specialising in food that is as fun to photograph as it is to eat. The headline act is the tornado potato, a whole potato spiral-cut and fried on a long skewer, available in three sizes with the longest stretching an impressive 52 centimetres. Beyond the spuds, the shop also turns out churros and fluffy cotton candy in equally oversized portions, all made fresh in front of you. The whole experience is very much part of Harajuku's kawaii street-food culture: bright, loud and unashamedly Instagram-friendly. This branch sits inside CUTE CUBE HARAJUKU on the ground floor, just steps from Takeshita Street's main strip. It is cash-only at some locations, so come prepared, and expect queues on weekends when the street is at its busiest.
