The JR EAST Travel Service Center at Shibuya Station is a one-stop support hub for international travellers navigating Japan's rail network. Staffed by multilingual assistants, the centre provides guidance on JR East passes, seat reservations and onward connections, as well as general sightseeing recommendations for the Tokyo area and beyond. Located directly in front of the South Ticket Gate, the counter is hard to miss and exceptionally handy for anyone arriving at Shibuya for the first time. The team can assist with everything from Suica card top-ups to detailed route planning, making it an invaluable first port of call. The service centre is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00 with no scheduled closing days. As Shibuya is one of Tokyo's busiest interchange stations, dropping in early in the day is advisable to avoid the longest queues.
