ShinQs is the retail heart of Shibuya Hikarie, occupying the basement third floor through to the fifth floor above ground in this 34-storey skyscraper. Operated by Tokyu Department Store, it houses around 200 elegantly curated shops, with over 70 per cent of them being first-to-Shibuya locations, making it a destination for discovering brands not found elsewhere in the neighbourhood. The floors are thoughtfully organised: fashion and beauty sit alongside a grocery hall in the basement, whilst lifestyle goods and interior accessories fill the upper levels. Each floor features its own background music and the famous 'switch rooms' — beautifully designed restrooms that have become something of an attraction in their own right. The food section in the basement is particularly popular for picking up bento boxes and confectionery to take away. ShinQs is directly connected to Shibuya Station, so it is effortlessly accessible even on a rainy day. Weekday and Saturday hours are 11 am to 9 pm, with Sundays and public holidays closing at 8 pm. Tax-free counters are available for international visitors, and the information desks on B3 and the second floor offer multilingual assistance.
