I visited Recofan in July and was delighted to find many EP records from my favorite Showa idols 🥰 I am pleased that the store reopened at Magnet Shibuya, offering a wide selection of CDs and vinyl records. The pricing is reasonable.

RECOfan is a legendary secondhand music shop that returned to Shibuya in December 2022 after a two-year hiatus, setting up on the sixth floor of MAGNET by SHIBUYA109. The store carries an impressive catalogue of over 50,000 records spanning every genre imaginable, from J-pop and rock to jazz, soul and electronic imports. Crate-diggers will find plenty to pore over, with well-organised bins of both vinyl and CDs alongside a curated selection of DVDs. The shop's earlier incarnation at Shibuya BEAM was a fixture of the neighbourhood for 26 years, and this revival has been warmly welcomed by collectors and casual browsers alike. Access is straightforward: head up to the sixth floor of the MAGNET building, which is separate from the main Shibuya 109 tower, or reach it via the underground passage from Shibuya Station, which keeps you dry on rainy days.
