Books Keibundo has long been a fixture of Shibuya's literary scene, operating from the basement and ground floor of the Mark City East Mall, directly connected to Shibuya Station. The shop offers a broad Japanese-language selection spanning fiction, non-fiction, magazines, comics and specialist interest titles, along with a curated assortment of English-language books. In early 2026 the store transitioned to become Kinokuniya Shibuya Dogenzaka, bringing the renowned Kinokuniya curation and service standards to the same convenient location. The long opening hours - from 9:00 in the morning until 11:00 at night - make it a practical choice for commuters and late-night browsers alike. Being inside Mark City means the bookshop is sheltered from the elements and easy to reach from the Keio Inokashira Line platforms or the JR station's west exit. It is a handy place to pick up travel guides, stationery or a novel for the train before heading out of Shibuya.
