About This Event / イベントについて
The 21st Shibuya Music Festival, billed as SHIBUYA MUSIC SCRAMBLE 2026, runs Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026. Organiser is the Shibuya Music Festival Executive Committee, chaired by Kenji Onishi of the Dogenzaka shopping street. Co-hosts are Shibuya City, the Shibuya tourism association, and Shibuya Future Design. Last year drew more than 35,000 people across 20-plus programmes. Street stages are free. Hall seats are not.
Sunday is the day the asphalt becomes a stage. Dogenzaka, Bunkamura-dori, and the front of SHIBUYA109 close to cars so the committee can drop stages on the road. Saturday keeps Miyashita Park, Shibuya MODI, and LINE CUBE SHIBUYA busy without that full street closure. If you only have one day and you want the classic scramble of live music in traffic-free Dogenzaka, come Sunday.
LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (the old public hall) is the indoor spine. Sunday 18 October is SHIBUYA SYMPHONIC BEAT supported by BOATRACE: Tokyo Philharmonic with STUTS, Nariaki Obukuro, and Kohjiya. Doors 12:45, start 13:30. SS seats ¥8,800, S seats ¥6,800, assigned seating, max four tickets, no preschool children. Saturday 17 October lists a Shibuya Music Festival special with zigzag''s mikoto at the same hall. Buy those through eplus, Ticket Pia, and Lawson Ticket. Outdoor stages do not use those codes.
TOKYO FM is the content partner. Check the official site for last-week additions. The committee''s own page is the live map once stage times drop. Nearest stations are Shibuya (JR, Tokyo Metro, Tokyu, Keio Inokashira) and the Miyashita Park walk from the Hachiko side.
