About This Event / イベントについて
The Shibuya Center Street Tanabata Festival brings ~94 Sendai-style tanabata decorations to the main arch and street lamps of Center Street from late July through early August. The colorful paper streamers transform the shopping street into a traditional summer celebration.
The closing parade on August 7 features local sports teams including Sunrockers Shibuya and Alvark Tokyo, followed by a Nebuta display in mid-September extending the festive atmosphere.
渋谷センター街七夕まつりは7月下旬～8月上旬、センター街入り口のメインポールと街路灯94基に本場仙台の七夕飾りを展開。色鮮やかな吹き流しが商店街を伝統的な夏の風景に変えます。
8月7日の閉幕パレードにはサンロッカーズ渋谷、アルヴァーク東京などのスポーツチームが参加。9月中旬にはねぶた展示も行われ、お祭り気分が続きます。
